NOTICE BOARD
Hi! I got the new album a couple of weeks ago, and this is definitely the best Silverchair album yet. I have two favourate lines on Neon Ballroom. From Black Tangled Heart: "Maybe I'm just the thing to break my own fall" and from Ana's Song, "You make the sound of laughter and sharpened nails seem softer."
Next, is it just me or does Spawn Again rock really hard? I vote yes. Even though it's all Animal Lib stuff it's really heavy. I haven't heard the original Spawn, so I'm wondering how different Spawn Again is to the original. Maybe someone can help me out here?
Cheers, Lucy.
I've been coming to this site since it started a couple of weeks ago, and why isn't anyone writing anything? TWELVE NEW TRACKS! Don't pretend you have nothing to say. From Kell.
Kirk.
That's not right at all. I rekon Steam Will Rise is a perfect end to the album. If they stuck Anthem or something at the end it would suck because that sort of song builds u up. It's good to have something slow to close it off. Plus if you listen to the lyrics it isn't crap - it about self-esteem. But I agree about Do U Feel The Same and Point of View - two of my favourites.
Regards, JetGirl
PS - is Kirk ur real name or net name? Is it meant to be like Kirk Hammett?
Anyway it's totally not true that Neon ballroom is annoying after Freak Show. It's even better. I'm glad that they try to change their style a bit each time rather than just doing the same thing. It would be boring. And the lyrics on NB are heaps more mature - I luv it.
From Lucy
I'd have to agree with Lucy about the lyrics being more mature. If u go back to Freak Show there are a lot of lines that sound like they are only there to rhyme. A lot of Neon Ballroom doesn't rhyme but that doesn't detract from the sound. Not saying anything against Freak Show, but you can see how the lyrics have progressed.
